The New Marketing Funnel
Tuesday, October 6, 2026 | 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Your next customer probably won’t meet you on your website. They’ll meet a one-paragraph summary of you, written by an AI, sitting next to two competitors you’ve never heard of. By the time they land on your site, most of the decision is already made. Marketing Disrupted is coming to Chicago with a FREE evening session on how buying actually works now — and what to do about it.
What To Expect
The straight line from awareness to sale stopped describing how anyone buys. The stages still exist; the order doesn’t. In this session, we’ll get into:
- Why buyers arrive pre-decided, and how to get on the shortlist before you’re ever in the room
- Which parts of the funnel belong to AI now — and which ones lose you the sale if you automate them
- How to tighten the handoffs between AI and your team
- And more

Amanda Schomaker, Head of Growth
Amanda Schomaker leads business development, client strategy and retention at 1905 New Media, an Inc. 5000-recognized agency, where she also helps the leadership team apply AI across the business. A designer by training with an MBA from Washington University’s Olin Business School, she’s spent more than two decades working both sides of the creative-strategy divide, until, as she puts it, the divide stopped existing. Having sat inside organizations and run the agencies that serve them, Amanda brings a rare dual view of what clients actually need and where growth breaks down.

Kaysha Hanock, Director of Digital Marketing
Kaysha Hanock is Director of Digital Marketing at 1905 New Media, where she directs strategy and execution across SEO, paid media, social, email, content, analytics and AI-driven optimization for clients in healthcare, manufacturing, financial services and e-commerce. Her 20-plus years in the industry have all been agency side, treating every client as its own puzzle with the answer buried in the data. Her current focus: building AEO strategies, structured data frameworks and the technical infrastructure that makes brands visible to large language models — because more and more, the answer arrives before the link. Kaysha holds a biology degree from Truman State University and an MBA in services marketing from UNLV.
Before You Go
One of the shifts we’ll dig into is already reshaping search: 31% of Google AI Overview citations now pull from pages ranked outside the top 100. Kaysha wrote about what that means for the old “get to page one” playbook — why it happened, what changed with Gemini in January, and the three signals that determine whether AI cites you. It’s worth ten minutes before the event.
